  • Nancy Leson reviews Wild Ginger’s Eastside Bravern location in the Seattle’s Times Restaurant section, and raves about the Bangkok Boar, Seafood Thai Noodles and Siam Lettuce Cups, “I can tell you that watching Rick and Ann Yoder’s wild experiment move, morph and prosper has been a consistent source of happiness for this Gingerphile…” She goes on to praise, “Mirroring its Seattle sibling, the Bellevue branch is a dynamic dual-level space with dueling cocktail bars, private dining and my beloved satay bar as focal point.”
  • Patti Payne, in her Puget Sound Business Journal Coffee Talk column today reported on a successful in-home party for Jimmy Choo at Susie Naficy’s Medina waterfront residence, hosted by Naficy and Lauren Selig and attended by the company’s U.S. President Brian Henke. The event was attended by 50 or so prominent Eastside shoe lovers, including “DeLaine Emmert, Betty Tong, Stacy Lowenberg, Claudine Milloy and more.”
  • Payne also reported on the Grand Opening celebration event at Hermès. “Hundreds of people packed the store, shoulder to shoulder, until there was barely room to do more than sip champagne and talk to the person next to you,” she reports.
  • Thirdly, in the same column, Payne reports, “Word is that his [John Howie's] new John Howie Steak at The Bravern in Bellevue is doing a brisk dinner business, and attracting many celebs and business leaders. On one recent night, some well-known couples were spotted in various parts of the eatery — Connie and Steve Ballmer, Jim and Jan Sinegal, Jim and Patricia Voelker, Lenny and Marilyn Wilkens, Bert and Madeleine Maillet Valdman and more.”
