The season of giving is in full swing and Pacific Place is happy to be a part of it. The most rewarding aspect of this Holiday season is seeing the face of a child as they receive a gift on Christmas morning. We know that between working and doing the family Christmas shopping, finding time to give back to the community can be difficult. That’s why we set up three different ways for you to give at Pacific Place.

Do you need a gift wrapped? Head down to the Concourse Level of Pacific Place, and just outside of Barnes & Noble there is a gift wrapping station. For a donation, all of your gifts can be beautifully wrapped by a team of volunteers.

All proceeds benefit the Forgotten Children’s Fund. Since 1976, volunteers in this all volunteer organization work together to raise money to purchase, wrap and deliver gifts to needy children and their families.

Do you wish to bring a little extra fun into your Holiday shopping? That’s what the Westin Holiday Shopping package does. With room rates starting at $209, this package includes a $100 Pacific Place gift card each night of your stay. It’s an easy and fun way to get your Christmas shopping done, and at the same time it benefits Seattle Children’s Hospital because a portion of the proceeds are donated to them.

Seattle Children’s Hospital is a great hospital in the community devoted to giving the best care to children.

No wrapping necessary. When you’re doing a little shopping for the kids, pick up an extra gift and drop it off at the Range Rover Enoque in our Atrium. Pacific Place snow sponsor, Jaguar Range Rover of Bellevue and Seattle, is hosting a charity promotion at the Center for Toys for Tots. Each time their Enoque gets filled with new, unwrapped, donated toys, they will donated the toys to needy children through Toys for Tots, plus make a generous donation to Seattle Children’s Hospital.

The goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them into becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.

All of these charities benefit children. At the heart of this Holiday season, it’s about the hope and happiness one toy can bring, if even for just one day.

The holidays are the such an amazing time to give

Holiday spirits will no doubt shine this season with the addition of illuminated Snowflake Wands for the nightly celebration. This sparkling memento is a $1 donation and all proceeds benefit Seattle Children’s Hospital. Snowflake Wands are now available for purchase at the Concierge Desk on Level 1 and at Santa’s Wonderland on Level 3 beginning November 25.

Also, this year Pacific Place is once again participating in the Providence Tour of Trees while promoting Providence O’Christmas Trees Gala Dinner & Auction on Wednesday, November 30, at The Westin Seattle. The tree this year is accented with birds and butterflies and reminiscent of dainty Victorian style. This annual gala supports Providence Senior and Community Services, which provides healthcare, hospice and supportive housing to people in need. What would holidays in the City be without snow?! For the past decade Pacific Place has decked out downtown Seattle with the finest in holiday festivity. From fashion to philanthropy, frosty flurries to photographs, Pacific Place has become the downtown destination for holiday celebration. And 2011 promises even more!

The Jolly Old Gentleman in the red suit takes up residence in Santa’s Wonderland on Level 3 next to Top Ten Toys beginning the day after Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve. Ho-Ho-Horray!!

Make sure to climb onto Santa’s famous lap and capture the moment with a keepsake photo. Santa’s Wonderland is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mon-Sat and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays from Nov 25th-Dec 16th. He will also be available from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Mon-Sat, Dec 17th-23rd, and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec 18, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on December 24. Can’t make any of those times? No worries, he will also make nightly appearances as part of the snow performances.

Visitors will catch the holiday spirit amid a festive flurry of snowflakes every evening at 6 p.m. from Friday, November 25, to Saturday, December 31 (excluding Christmas Day) inside Pacific Place’s four-story atrium. (Who doesn’t love the snow!!?!)

Come kick off the holidays with Pacific Place on Wednesday, November 16th at 5:30pm for a FREE screening of a classical holiday movie at AMC Pacific Place 11. Come celebrate the holidays with some new and old friends. Pacific Place will provide one complimentary beverage and popcorn for each guest. Space is limited, so make sure to RSVP. Arrive between 5:30p-6:15pm to enjoy a drink or two, check-in, and mingle. Movie will start promptly at 6:30pm.
