Built for Man's Fall/Winter Reveal

Built for Man (BFM) will reveal its Fall/Winter 2011/12 line February 22nd to an invitation-only crowd, and we’d love to offer you a sneak peak at what’s to come!

The BFM showcase is Seattle’s only men’s pre-line collection and the first men’s pre-line fashion runway show since the end of the 1980s.

The brand’s goal is to create clothing and accessories that are both practical and wearable – obvious in the latest designs off the runway. The use of Baby Alpaca wool, Pima cotton, silk, and wool flannel takes “wearable” to mean luxuriously “comfortable.”

Stay tuned for more details on the collection and its big reveal!

Baby Alpaca Scarf in AshBuilt for Man is a local fashion-forward company here in the Northwest. According to their website it is “filled with light yet stylish pieces made of natural fibers, our collection is designed specifically to provide you with the most comfortable layering items for this season and every season after.”

They had a fashion show on Tuesday night in Capitol Hill where they showcased some amazing knits from their Fall/Winter 2010 collection – which were all hand loomed and woven in Peru.

They “provide rural communities in Peru with a loom which enables these communities to improve their quality of life and continue their ancient traditional looming techniques. Utilizing the most luxurious yarns—Pima Cotton, Baby Alpaca, and Silk—these communities bring our designs to life and help us to create garments that stand out for their practicality, comfort and style.” You can read more about it on their blog, The Loom Project.
