Thursday, September 8 is a big night for fashion as retailers and restaurants world-wide stay up late for the third annual Fashion’s Night Out.

Fashion’s Night Out was created in 2009 in a partnership between American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company and the City of New York to revive flagging retail sales and do their part to resuscitate the economy.

Three years later, Fashion’s Night Out has caught on in a big way in our region, from fashion shows and glamorous parties to fall trend exhibits and great shopping deals.

Seattle Met style editor, Laura Cassidy has rallied many of Downtown Seattle’s best retailers and restaurants to participate, including RN74, who is offering a super late night happy hour $5 menu for this stylish crowd. Head on over after an exhaustive and exhilarating evening of fashion and shopping for some divine wine and delicious nibbles from 9 p.m. to closing.

I finally had the chance to visit RN74 for drinks and I have to say, my drink was pretty amazing! I am a huge fan of Pimm’s so when I saw the “Pimm’s 74″ I had to try it.

RN74 has quite the ambiance – it’s located in the heart of downtown, yet when you walk in you forget that your only a block from 3rd and Pike (not one of the best corners downtown). The decor is beautiful and the lighting is just low enough. We sat at the bar and tried a few items off their bar menu. Not only is their staff friendly but also very knowledgeable about what they have to offer. We were given the detailed history of this one type of cheese on our sampler plate. I was highly impressed, imagine if only I was a cheese connoisseur…

With the Block Party going on in Capitol Hill right now if you start there from 5-7 you will find $5 food and drink specials. They will also have $2 Rainiers. Win win!!
