Ah, November: wind and rainstorms, Thanksgiving, and most importantly, the release of Beaujolais Nouveau.
Celebrate the arrival of this young, juicy wine with Bastille Café & Bar on November 18 from 6 to 11 p.m., when the Ballard eatery comes alive with live music and tempting food specials.
Enjoy the taste of young Gamay grapes by the glass for $5, and choose small plates of terrines, patés or cured meats from a selection of over 30 types of charcuterie for $5, as well. The revelry will be accompanied by a live music performance from the Jangomatics and Rouge in Bastille’s Back Bar.
What a perfect way to welcome in the holiday season.

Bastille chef Shannon Galusha knows there’s nothing better than sipping a glass of spectacular French wine with your meal at a favorite French restaurant. That’s why crafts dishes that perfectly complement the restaurant’s mostly French wine list.
This month, as part of Bastille’s month tour of French wine regions, the restaurant is highlighting Chateau Belgrave, a Grand Cru Classé Bordeaux from the Left Bank for $16 a glass. This wine epitomizes the world-renowned Bordeaux variety, displaying the ripe fruit and mineral flavors of old world wines. The recommended pairing for this wine is Filet d’Agneau: Roasted lamb loin with lamb shank & shelling bean ragout.
